Inconel systems for British Superbikes
Good Fabs has recently designed and fabricated some limited edition inconel 625 systems for the Aprilia RSV4. Commissioned by
Austin Racing, these systems result in an increased BHP of +12 and benefit from 25 years of F1 exhaust fabrication expertise. Chris and Joe Burns of the John Dimbylow Splitlath British Superbike Evo Racing team are currently running the full inconel race exhaust system on their Aprilia RSV4.
Caterhams - re-packable silencers to full sytems
Good Fabs has produced a number of exhaust parts and systems for Caterham owners over the past 20 years. We have jigs to build complete systems or can provide parts, such as
re-packable silencers with Cats, at very competitive prices.
Formula Student
Good Fabs has been working with student teams from a number of UK universities who all compete in Formula Student. In some cases we just supply bends but in others we create whole exhaust systems based on CAD models.
Formula Student is an established worldwide racing category that has been running for over 10 years. It grew out of Formula SAE in the US and involves engineering students from Universities in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas. In July the teams compete at Silverstone having carried out almost all the processes associated with preparing a car and running a motorsport team.
Ross Brawn has been involved as Patron of Formula Student since 2006 and said the following last year.
When I started out my Formula 1 career some time ago at Frank Williams, I had nothing like 'Formula Student' to experience - and there were just 11 people in the company! Things are a little different now. Formula Student is a fantastic career opportunity and we now have 25 people working with us that have had the FS experience. The competition equips people with a whole range of skills they can carry with them through life. I, for one and as its Patron, have been really inspired by the commitment and enthusiasm of these young people. They are the future.
